Yoga  is a perfect complement to competitive activities as it enhances flexibility and strength. It can also create a more patient and tranquil athlete who often deals with the frustration and stress that accompanies competition.

By relaxing  the overworked muscles and stretching the underworked ones yoga evenly trains the entire muscular system. Students will  also learn breathing techniques to increase the flow of oxygen to the body’s tissues. Enhanced balance is another great benefit of yoga which consequentially improves one's agility and reaction time, and lessens the likelihood of injuries.

Performance can also be improved with yoga as it tones core muscles, detoxifies, lowers blood pressure, improves posture, and decreases one’s rate of breathing while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

An athlete is not a machine; he or she is a person that requires positive nourishment for mind and body.
